Kriti Jain (any pronouns) joined the ReSIsT lab in 2023. Originally from India, Kriti earned a BA in Psychology from Ashoka University, followed by an MA in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Spirituality and Research Methods from Teachers College, Columbia University. Their research focuses on the positive psychology of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to explore and support positive identity development among racial, gender, and sexual minority individuals. Furthermore, through their research, clinical work, and advocacy, Kriti integrates humanistic and decolonial frameworks to promote the well-being of those with intersecting marginalized identities. Currently, Kriti is working with Dr. Gonzalez to develop a strengths-based group intervention for QTBIPOC individuals, emphasizing community building, empowerment, and collective liberation. In addition to their research, Kriti serves as a Tri-Chair on the Student Affiliates of Seventeen Executive Board, where they advocate for counseling psychology graduate students across the country.
